Brown Dust 2 Fiend Hunter
Read the fiend card, park three presets, then spend stamina on the level you can actually clear.
Fiend Hunter is the weekly raid that turns combat from a story puzzle into a score chase. You bring up to three teams, each with five costumes, and you play them in sequence against one boss with published weak tiles, SP regen, and skills that fire at chain thresholds. If you paste a Mirror Wars defense into this mode you will die on S1. If you paste a story AoE team you will live and deal nothing.
This page is the loop. Specific boss recipes rotate; the card-reading habit does not. Pair it with the PvE tier list, team building, and gear. Claim codes before you craft a new exclusive weapon “for this week only.”
How a Fiend week works
- Open the Fiend card. Write down element, starting SP, SP per turn, weak-point tiles, and any skill that says “when chain is 5 / 15 / 30.”
- Pick a carry whose pattern actually covers the weak tile. A vertical-only sniper is useless on a blob that lives in the front corners. See attackers.
- Fill three supports from different buff buckets — ATK or MATK, vulnerability, chain. See supports.
- Decide whether this week needs Burst. Some clears are “No Burst”; others assume Diana 3 / Lathel 3 / Liberta 3. Do not start a 40,000 Dia pity because a thumbnail said Full Burst.
- Gear HP/DEF on the unit that tanks S1, not only on the carry you like. Many fiends buff the unit they slap first.
- Run the lowest level you can three-star, then climb. Empty attempts are worse than a clean level 10.
The embedded video is a real Fiend Hunt clear (Baywatcher Light, no Burst). Watch it for turn pacing and the gear screen at the end, not as a forever recipe. Next week’s miner or mermaid will not share that pattern.
Three teams, one boss
High floors expect Team 1 → Team 2 → Team 3 as the fight lengthens. Team 1 sets chains and lives through the opener. Team 2 dumps the first amplified window. Team 3 is the leftover Burst and the second chainer. New Masters should ignore Team 3 until level 10 is free. One good team with plus-ranked buffers beats three +0 posters.
Swap the flex slot per card:
- Knockback / displace if the weak point is behind a body.
- Second chainer if the boss pays you at chain 15.
- Shield / HP carry if S1 is a raid-wide that murders glass DPS.
- Element match if the resist would eat your plus ranks.
Collab weeks add extra fiends. September 2026’s Eternal Chains light Ancient Undead Miner hits a tight tile and resets cooldowns; the follow-up Time to Submit mine spirit is a different card. Read Chained Soldier 2 and events so you do not farm the wrong shop while the hunter is up.
Chains and Burst without the mystique
Chains still reset most turns. The first hit is 100%; later hits on that tile climb about 10% each unless a costume raises the per-stack value. Fiend Hunter is where that ladder is the whole game. A multi-hit chainer who stands on the weak tile is not optional flavor.
Burst is a later unlock that spends extra SP for a huge pattern. It is not required for every floor. If your Burst list is empty, play the No Burst path: more basics, more knockback, more chain costumes. The gacha planner is the wrong tool for this decision; your Burst menu is the right one.
Gear in one paragraph
Exclusive weapons on the carry and the main buffer first. HP% / DEF on whoever eats S1. Crit and chain damage on the unit that actually hits the weak tile. Do not spread four SR sets “evenly.” Details live on gear.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Brown Dust 2 questions.
Do I need three teams for Fiend Hunter?
Not for early floors. One complete team clears the rewards that matter. Add a second team when the timer still has boss HP left.
Is Burst required?
No. Many published clears are No Burst. Check the fiend card and your Burst menu before you spend Dia.
Who tanks the first skill?
Usually the chainer, because some fiends buff whoever they hit. Read the card. Gear that unit for HP and DEF.
Where do I see who is good this week?
The PvE tier list plus the in-game fiend card. A general S-block is not a hunter recipe.
