PvE Tier List

PvE in Brown Dust 2 is a pattern-matching puzzle with a damage formula glued on. Rank a costume by whether it hits the weak tile, feeds a missing buff bucket, or stacks chains on that tile. A general S-block from the tier list hub is the starting watch list. This page splits the jobs. Bring combat, team building, and Fiend Hunter with you; a rank without a job is fan art. Craft order lives on gear.

Attackers (PvE)

S — fight-defining kits

  • Morpeah — summons that both deal and occupy tiles. Bosses that punish a thin front line hate her.
  • Apostle Blade / Young Lady Blade — high-end slash kits; plus ranks matter. Apostle is the newer carry identity.
  • Loen, Liatris, Levia, Luvencia — reliable elemental nukes when the fiend is the matching property.
  • Nebris / Deadeye Nekyndalia — strong when the pattern matches; do not force them onto every light fiend just because the name is trendy.
  • Sylvia / Venaka / Eclipse / Yuri / Samay — seasonal and core kits that still clear floors if geared.
  • Kry — 4-star exception. Keep investing.
  • Justia (fixed-damage costumes) — story and high-DEF elites. Not your Fiend ladder forever, still the best teaching carry.

A — excellent with the right boss

Rafina, Eleaneer, Gray, Ventana, Wilhelmina (Iron Monarch and seasonal), Tyr, Darian, Glacia (Heavenly Guardian Successor), Ocean Vanguard Luvencia if you already own the line, Goblin Slayer collab leftovers, Tricky Lover Dalvi. Use them when the AoE or element fits. Do not plus all of them.

B/C — story passengers

Alec, Lecliss, many early 3-stars. They teach the grid. Stop feeding them powder once a real carry exists.

Supports (PvE)

Supports are not a ladder, they are a catalog. Pick one from each bucket:

BucketExamples (current kits)
Generic / team damageTeresse lines, including Beachside Angel Teresse
Physical ATKHomunculus Lathel
Magic ATKHelena lines
Vulnerability / ampDark Saintess Liberta, Magical Innovator Diana, New Hire Seir, some Eleaneer
Chain stack / chain ampPoolside Fairy Refithea, Celia costumes, Poolside Guardian Zenith
Survive / cleanseActing Archbishop Michaela, Earth Mother Believer Priestess, Onsen Manager Liberta

Liberta at even one copy changes Fiend math because she pays you for already stacking chains. Diana is the same idea for a different multiplier. If your 12-Pick can only hold a few names, those jobs beat a second Loen.

Fiend Hunter notes

Read the fiend card before you copy a YouTube five. Look for:

  • starting SP and SP per turn,
  • weak point tiles (head vs center vs back),
  • skills that fire at chain 5 / 15 / 30,
  • which hit you want a chainer to tank.

Gridlin-style fights buff the unit that eats S1. Put the chainer there, not the carry. Orochi-style fights want center occupancy and chain thresholds. If your carry cannot stand on the 200% tile, the S-rank is a lie for that week.

Guild Raid uses the same formula with a timer. Bring the same 3-support core and swap the flex.

Story packs

Ignore half of the S-block. Bring knockback, an AoE plus or X, and enough sustain to survive elite telegraphs. Free Wiggle and Kry still earn their slot. Save powder. The getting started path is the story tier list.

PvP ranks for Mirror Wars. Attackers and supports for kit jobs. Fiend Hunter for the weekly card. Gear before you smash four SR sets. Events when a collab costume is the week’s actual S. Daily checklist because plus ranks are the real rank-up.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Brown Dust 2 questions.

Is the PvE list the same as the general tier list?

No. PvE cares about weak points and chains. A Mirror Wars god can be average here.

Who do I plus first for Fiend Hunter?

A buffer in a unique bucket, then a chainer, then the carry. See team building.

Can Justia still clear PvE?

Story and many elites, yes. High-end fiends want chain-scaling carries.

Where is chain explained?

The combat guide and the video on this page.
