Live-service notes: collabs, coupons, the Windows client, and what changed after Steam cancelled.
Brown Dust 2 has been live since 22 June 2023. It does not pause because a storefront changed its mind. This hub is the news desk. Timed content lives on events. The live collab kit list lives on Chained Soldier 2. The Windows launcher and the cancelled Steam launch live on PC client. Coupons still live on codes because Masters search that word, not “patch.”
What is current (September 2026)

- Dual directors — Jun-hee Lee remains; Soo-yeon Kim joined mid-2026. Expect the same “innovative vulgarity” line the team already uses, not a genre reboot.
- Regional builds — Germany and South Korea run extra costume filters for ratings. Gameplay ranks on this wiki assume the global client.
- Steam — cancelled 8 December 2025 after policy talks failed. Wishlist rewards were still scheduled. Play on mobile or the official PC launcher.
How Brown Dust 2 ships content
Updates arrive as story packs, character packs, event packs, and costume banners. Packs are the cartridges on the home shelf. A story pack is a plot chapter. A character pack is a side kit. An event pack is a timer. You can replay stories after the team added a replay function in 2025; you cannot replay a missed collab shop.
Developer notes and Night Live streams land on the official YouTube channel. We embed at most one video per page elsewhere on the wiki. This hub stays text so it can move when a stream is over.
What to do after a patch
